Seychelles – 115 granite and coral islands extend from the east coast of Africa in the western Indian Ocean. One of the world’s very last frontiers, promises adventure and breathtaking natural beauty in pristine surrounds still untouched by man.
So many things happened since our honeymoon, but memories of Seychelles are still very vivid:
Incredible colours. Deep shades of blue in the ocean, or just how white and soft the sand is, or the vibrant reds from sunsets and the trees full of bright yellow and pink flowers. There are beautiful, idyllic beaches with crystal clear waters around every corner and occasional home cooked Creole seafood restaurant.
Although Mahe has more than enough to keep you occupied, we were lucky enough to be able to explored other islands and spent some time in Praslin, La Digue (my favourite) and visit few more for snorkelling :)
Seychelles is not a cheap place and I guess it depend on what type of holiday you are after, but we have decided not to stay at a fancy hotels and rent a self catering apartments instead, so if you are planning your holiday, we would definitely recommend you to check Les Maisonettes property in Mahe and Seaview Lodge in Praslin island. Have a great time and create lots of unforgettable memories!
