The Grange Country House

Roger and Asuno celebrated their wedding in 2014 at the wonderful 14th Century house called The Grange, a very romantic and luxurious venue, it is probably Northwood’s best kept secret.
Roger had 5 groomsmen and during speeches each of them had something to share. It was simply amazing to witness such a strong friendships, to be true, I was crying a river.
Asuno originally is from Japan. Her mother wore a very traditional kimono. There is so much detail, symbolism, art, history in just putting a kimono on and I was truly honoured to observe this ceremony.
I love when couples make an extra effort to personalise their day as much as they can. In this particular wedding my favourite of all was hundreds of origami swans! It took Asuno months to finish them all. Now thats dedication and patience I can just be jealous about :)
From photographical point of view I had few challenges that day. There was no much time left for the Bride & Groom shots and when newlyweds finally got few minutes to spare, the sun was already down … I would highly recommend to all the Brides to reserve at least one hour for the couple photos when its still bright outside (or to capture the sunset). It may seem a long time … but trust me, it will be worth it!
