Hi guys! Sharing few more photos of Lilly, but this time in the lavender field :) You can find this gorgeous location in Hertfordshire – Hitchin Lavender Farm. Important to remember that lavender blooms only in July to mid August, so you really need to make your photoshoot booked upfront.
Few things to keep in mind: hope you are not allergic to bee stings, as there are plenty of them around, but they don’t usually bother visitors and keep being busy collecting nectar.
My favourite time of the day for portrait photography sessions is towards late afternoon, when sunlight is not so bright anymore and sky gets painted in soft pastel colours. It is great for couples session or individual portraits, but if you are planning a family outing, please consider lots of snacks for the little ones and maybe a nap beforehand :) The alternative option to late afternoon shoots is the very early morning. Lets plan it to be there at the time of the opening. Also, soft coloured, textured textiles usually works the best, please try to avoid brightly coloured garments, as it will overpower the gentle beauty of the lavender field.
