Wedding Planning Advice from the Bride | Tips for a Stress-Free Big Day
When asked if we ran into any problems while planning the big day, the only real hiccup we experienced was with the bridesmaids’ dresses. I had three bridesmaids, but one dress was delayed and another was two inches too short! Thankfully, the delayed dress arrived two weeks before the wedding, and the bridesmaid with the short dress wore flats. I was incredibly lucky that my auntie handled all the stressful communication with the dress shop, shielding me from the nightmare details and helping me stay calm.
On the morning of the wedding, I felt surprisingly calm. Everything had been arranged, and luckily, nothing went wrong. All the careful planning paid off! I had been nervous the week before the wedding as the reality of marriage began to sink in, but on the day itself, I was able to simply enjoy every moment.
Looking back, it’s amazing how much time we spend worrying during the planning phase, only to realize that most problems feel insignificant on the big day. My advice for any bride or groom is to enjoy every part of the planning process and the wedding day itself. Everyone says it goes so fast, and it truly does! I remember a friend once saying she wished she could plan her wedding again. At the time, I thought she was crazy, but now I understand — savour every moment, even when it feels stressful or overwhelming.
After the wedding, parts of the day felt like a blur. I couldn’t even remember speaking to some guests, and before I knew it, it was the last dance and everyone was leaving! Thankfully, the wedding photos captured so many precious moments, helping to bring back memories and preserve the joy, laughter, and love of the day forever. 📸💛
