Berks & Bucks Your Wedding

Great news! Lucy and David’s wedding, which we shot back in 2009 early autumn, has been featured in June-July issue of  “Berks & Bucks Your Wedding” magazine. Its a fantastic publication and we would definitely recommend it to subscribe for all the Brides to be!

The Proposal

“Dave had booked lunch and the day before suggested that I buy a new dress for the occasion”, says Lucy. “I knew straight away what he was up to. The next day, I was picked up in the Bentley and taken to Eton Bridge, where Dave was already waiting. He got down on one knee and proposed, then took me for lunch at The Sir Christopher Wren’s House Hotel.

Chapel Chic

“I had always wanted to get married at Windsor Parish Church. It’s beautiful and also very special to me and my family,” says Lucy. The reception was held at Beaumont Estate’s impressive 19th century chapel. “I loved it as soon as we visited and I remember thinking that there was no way we could be able to afford such a place. The staff went out of their way so we could have a perfect day. Nothing was too much effort for them”.

Fit For A Princess

“Although I love the big, puffy princess dress, I knew they wouldn’t suit my petite frame. After trying on just three dresses, I found the one – it felt wonderful, and I didn’t want to take it off. The girls at the shop were brilliant, knowledgeable and very honest, which is something what brides need”.

Bring On The Glitz

The couple chose a big five-tier cake made of chocolate sponge and fruit cake. It was encrusted with Swarovski crystals and decorated with sugar flowers to mach Lucy’s bouquet and the bridesmaids’ dresses. “It was the best cake I’ve ever tasted,” says Lucy.

Stylish Images

We wanted fun, contemporary style images and really loved the artistic style of Kristina of IMAGINARIUM,” explains Lucy. “We met up and had a pre-wedding shoot at a destination of our choice. She was fantastic and made us both feel totally at ease. Everyone who has seen our wedding photos commented on how brilliant they are”.

The Honeymoon

Lucy and David wanted to go somewhere hot and where they could relax by the beach. “We enjoyed a much-needed two-week break at the Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort in Jamaica. The best part of our honeymoon was climbing up to the Dunn’s River Falls. It was an amazing experience, and one we’d definitely recommend”.
